Two New Productions Approved to Film in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY (May 12, 2022) – Utah Film Commission today announced the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (Go Utah) Board approval of two new productions for state film incentives, generating an estimated economic impact of $6 million and creating approximately 175 local jobs.

‘Love in the Limelight, a new Hallmark Channel production was approved for the Motion Picture Incentive Program. Spending an estimated $2.5 million in the state, the film is scheduled to begin shooting in Wasatch, Salt Lake and Utah counties this month.

A new film based on the popular Wattpad story from Tay Marley, ‘The QB Bad Boy and Me’ will be filming in Salt Lake County this summer. Starring social media influencer, Noah Beck in his feature-film acting debut, the film is being produced by Creator Plus and Wattpad Webtoon Studios. Approved for the Motion Picture Incentive Program, the production will spend approximately $3.5 million in the state.
