Introduce your kids to the magic of film at Utah’s annual Tumbleweeds Film Festival! Filmmakers all over the world have made films that celebrate stories from their culture just for kids. There are films for children of all ages so the whole family can enjoy a day at the movies, along with filmmaking workshops, and a clubhouse to play and get creative. Among the lineup this year you won’t want to miss The Little Prince, based on the classic story by Antoine de Saint-Exupery of an over-scheduled girl who befriends an eccentric aviator, who regales her with tales about the adventures of an unusual boy who lives on an asteroid. And a special treat of this year’s festival is an honorary screening of Willy Wanka and the Chocolate Factory, presented in 35mm film with a Wonkariffic goodie bag for all!
The festival runs September 23-25 at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $6 a piece, or you can buy a family pack of 10 tickets for only $40! Thank you Film Center for putting on this wonderful event!
